In-house expansion & modification project Executed in Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery as an Instrument & Electrical Designer in Technical/Drafting Department.
Scope of Job involved the following responsibilities:
Received project scope of work from Project Engineer in the form of written document & verbal instructions. Reviewed and employed those documents and commented if necessary.
Conducted site surveys & collected the necessary design data for the specified project.
Executed man-hour estimation.
Assist in the technical development of assigned project P&ID.
Developed Instrument & Electrical Layouts such as Location Plans, Wiring Layouts, Air Supply Layouts, by deciding that which (existing) Junction Box & Air supply header to be utilized.
Prepared Wiring Connection Lists & Instrument Loop Drawings, Hook-up Drawings, and Installation Standards & Details.
Review & check the technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
Prepared single line diagrams of main LV/MV panels, and sub-distribution boards, schematics diagrams for low and high voltage switchgear and motor control centres.
Based on drawings & details, Prepared Material Take Off.
Communicated with other disciplines, for related design data, the scope of work & supply. Identified and solved design & construction problems.
Reviewed comments of Project Engineer and Maintenance Group on “Issued for Review” packages, discussed and explained the design basis and finally issued the Construction Packages.
Developed “AS Built” drawings as per completed construction.
