  • Monitor and supervise the QA/QC activities as per the established inspection & Test Plans (ITP’s) and Quality Control Procedures (QCP’s).
  • Attend inspection activities according to notification/project specification.
  • Preside pre-inspection meetings (PIM) implement quality activities on manufactured equipment/materials as per approved ITP procedure.
  • Endorsement of test reports and records from the clients.
  • Preparation of inspection reports/expediting reports.
  • Conduct shop and desk expediting reviews and verify punch list / non-conformance issues inspection.
  • Prepares inspection disposition reports (IDR).
  • Coordination with project coordinator, client, vendor and quality personnel for proper execution of the assignment.
  • To conduct routine inspections, monitor the required tests and record inspections and tests made as per the project QA/QC Plan and client specifications and attainment of quality requirement.
  • Raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and site observations reports (SOR) for the activities which are deviated from the SOP’s/Project Specifications.
  • Follow up and close out of NCR’s and SOR’s.
  • Ensuring that the issue, amendment and recall of controlled documents and other essential record are done on conformance with LabView System.
  • Preparing and maintaining the daily, weekly & monthly reports of the actual QA/QC activities accomplished during the period.
  • Maintain the quality records related to the project in a manner which ensures proper identification, traceability and easy retrieval.
  • Conduct internal audits. Prepare audit reports and raise NCR’s and observations and follow up to close out of NCRs and observations.
  • Ensure & maintain the record of all the equipment calibration and are checked for accuracy as per the calibration schedule.
  • To co-ordinate third party authority for the calibration of instruments.
  • Preparation of Technical data regarding distribution transformers.
  • To coordinate the document control for technical submittals, drawings etc. with design engineers and to ensure that the QA/QC validation has been done, for the issue, amendment and recall of controlled documents.
  • Validation of material inspection reports (MIR), material acceptance reports (MAR) & Goods receive notes GRN.
  • In-house material inspection experience includes HT & LT connectors, HT & LT bushings assemble, HT & LT through bolts, HT & LT insulator, fuse clamps, insulating tubes, oil filling plugs & Collar, Oil level gauges, Press pan paper craft paper rings, silica gel breather arcing horns, tap changers guide & pins, gaskets, rating plates & circuit diagrams, MS SS and brass nut, bolts and washers.
  • Periodical assessment of vendors/suppliers and ensuring the bought out items are having minimum rejection/rework. Planning of inspection of material to be done at supplier works.
  • Supervise routine and Type Testing of Transformers in line with International standards and Customer’s specifications/requirements. Hands on testing experience comprises of High voltage test, induced over voltage, No-load test, Load test (Copper losses), Voltage ration test, Bird protection test, Resistance test, Vector group verification, Megger test, Oil dielectric strength, Oil flash point, Oil specific gravity, Oil viscosity, Pour point.
  • Coordinate with independent testing agencies to ensure that all requisite test as per project specifications are conducted and reporting is properly done.
  • Played key role in ensuring team efforts met and exceeded all performance, quality and reliability goals.
  • Performing all activities in compliance with the company health, safety, environment and assigned specific responsibilities.
