Two IT Towers were standing idle in factory since 2016, these towers were having eroded structures that was creating a big hazard in areas around them. These towers were also host to bird’s nest creating food safety risk very close to processing areas. To eliminate these hazards, team came up with an idea with Entrepreneurial Mindset that challenged the status quo. The idea eliminated conventional way of giant scaffolding structures around 100 feet high and associated risks of work at height by leveraging the available crane at site.
To Meet the stretched targets of improvement in Safety KPIs and to improve the overall Hazards understanding of the team. Initiated the Personalized and Customized version of Risk Assessment and Mitigation Measures (JHA) for more than 250 different work positions across market. The project resulted in better understanding of hazards involved in daily routines of the individuals and helped the market to achieve more than 50% reduction in safety incidents.
Moving forward in the Journey of Continuous Excellence and Leveraging the TPM methodologies SHE Pillar methodologies were introduced across all four factories to help them deliver their HSE targets while ensuring smoother operations. The initiative helped to integrate different deliverables of Safety, Quality, Cost and product delivery at right time.
