  Duties:
  • Executing Export / Cross Trade Documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Phytosanitary/ Weight/ Health/ Quality Certificate, Certificate of Origin from Chamber of Commerce & Packing List.
  • Sole Responsibility in all shipments for exports and cross trades.
  • Negotiating/ procuring of commodities with suppliers.
  • Managing logistics of shipments which needs to be in line with contracts.
  • Main point of contact with suppliers, POL /POD clearing agents, Freight Forwarding management companies, Shipping Line, relevant internal departments and Consignee for the smooth delivery of consignments.
  • Booking of FCL inclusive of merchant haulages, arranging Loading List from POL clearing agents, uploading of VGM, Shipping Instructions, preparation of Draft Bill of Lading.
  • Obtaining release from shipping lines, if/when required.
  • Advising best FCL rates to the management after comparing and collecting rate from shipping lines.
  • Following up/negotiating with shipping liners to avail free time so as to avoid demurrage and detention.
  • End to end monitoring of exports and cross trade movements.
  • Issuing notices of arrival for Sea shipments to POD clearing agent and consignee.
  • Negotiating with freight forwarders on Import & Export rates & other clearance charges.
  • Making check list and shipment status our management and across the group of companies from time to time.
  • Process the Bill of Lading draft and Coordinate with Shipping Line /Consignee for the Confirmation of Contents.
  • Ensuring that LCs and export documentation are prepared correctly and in line with Client and commercial requirements.
  • Handle all logistics issues, ensuring that shipment schedules are as per agreed terms with the consignee.
  • Follow Unified Custom Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP600), International Commercial Terms 2010 (INCOTERMS), Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA)
