Managerial oversight of steel plant procurement activities
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases local and international,
Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers source of new suppliers local and international as well, Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment,
Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data also responsible for maintaining minimum inventory levels in store sections.
Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
Ensure that the products and supplies are high-quality.
Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
Ensure the execution of the daily production plan. Explains significant variances from the plan and provides leadership for improvements within the operations groups.
Ensure operations personnel perform quality work.
Participate in the daily morning production meeting to communicate with production and maintenance.
Develop maintenance and progress reports and send them to top management.
Create safety guidelines on how to use every piece of machinery and successfully reduce the number of injuries in the workstation area and warehouse area.
Schedules preventive maintenance services on all equipment.
Stays updated on all developments regarding maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
Liaisons with suppliers, associates, and contractors on all equipment.
Responds and attends to all requests for maintenance work.
Reviews all maintenance reports and checklists as submitted by the team.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Maintains records of all repairs.
Recommends upgrades and repairs of equipment and systems.
Conducts random audits on the maintenance of all equipment and systems.
Ensure output meets quality standards.
