Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Draftsman with strong wet utilities/infrastructure experience to join our project team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, updating, and coordinating detailed engineering drawings for water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and other wet utility infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings for wet utility infrastructure projects.
• Develop drawings for water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, drainage, and associated utility networks.
• Prepare plans, profiles, longitudinal sections, cross-sections, details, and utility layouts.
• Review IFC drawings, design drawings, specifications, and BOQs and incorporate relevant requirements into construction drawings.
• Coordinate wet utility drawings with civil, structural, electrical, road, and other utility services.
• Identify and resolve clashes between existing and proposed utilities.
• Prepare drawings for utility crossings, tie-ins, chambers, manholes, valve chambers, connections, and other associated structures.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, design changes, consultant comments, and approved RFIs.
• Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on actual site installation and survey information.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, site supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure drawings accurately reflect construction requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and approved standards.
• Support the project team in preparing drawings required for consultant/authority submissions and approvals.
• Carry out site visits when required to verify existing conditions and construction progress.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure and wet utilities projects.
• Previous experience in UAE/Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and utility networks.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D and other drafting/design software will be an advantage.
