Worked as a Trainee Shift Engineer (E&I) in Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant(WHRPP) Department for 18 months. Key commitments as a Shift Engineer(E&I) during normal and shutdown scenarios were related to Operation & Maintenance(O/M) which are:
1). 20MW Turbine type Generator & Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion(CFBC) Boiler.
2). Daily Energy Consumption Report.
3). Synchronization and Stepping out of Generator.
4). Protective Relays for Generator and Transformers.
5). Neutral Grounding Resistor(NGR).
6). Low Voltage(LV) Switchgear with Variable Frequency Drives(VFD), Soft starters, Direct Online Circuits(DOL), Star Delta and Forward Reverse circuits via Distributed Control System(DCS).
7). Meggering, Continuity testing and Terminal connections of motors.
8). 400KW Emergency Diesel Generator.
9). Uninterrupted Power Supply(UPS) System.
10). Transformer Dielectric testing.
11). 12KV Indoor Air Circuit Breakers(ACB) and Vacuum Circuit Breakers(VCB).
12). Motorised Operating Valves(MOV), Thermocouples, Resistance Temperature Detectors(RTD), Proximity sensors, Vibration sensors and Pressure transmitters.
