About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Finance to support financial operations, vessel-wise accounting, budgeting, cost control, and MIS reporting for a fleet of offshore support vessels, tugs, crew boats, and tankers. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Tally, Advanced Excel, vessel accounting, and financial reporting within the shipping industry
Key Responsibilities
✅ Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for vessels and shore office operations.
✅ Process vessel operating expenses, crew wages, bunker costs, PDAs, and vendor invoices.
✅ Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing activities.
✅ Monitor vessel-wise operating costs and conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis.
✅ Prepare MIS reports, vessel-wise P&L statements, cost summaries, and fleet performance dashboards.
✅ Support cash flow planning, owner remittances, and fund requirement analysis.
✅ Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, ship owners, principals, and internal stakeholders.
✅ Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
Required Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com)
✔ CA Inter, CMA, or MBA Finance will be an added advantage
✔ 7–10 years of finance and accounting experience in the shipping / ship management industry
✔ Experience handling accounts for OSVs, Tugs, Crew Boats, Tankers, or similar vessels preferred
Required Skills
🔹 Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, Macros)
🔹 Strong knowledge of Tally or equivalent ERP
🔹 Vessel costing, bunker accounting, PDA management, and fleet cost allocation
🔹 GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial reporting
🔹 Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
