Summary of Career

1. Duties primarily include, Detail design engineering of HVAC system viz., Heat- Load calculation, selection of equipment, duct & pipe routing, preparation of shop drawings & specifications. Other duties are as stated below in detail:


2. Air Conditioning Cooling Load calculations, Heat Loss calculations following ASHRAE. • Duct system design, supervision, duct fabrication and installation of the ductwork following SMACNA 2, DW 144 codes. • Chilled water pipe design and pump head calculation, selection of chilled water pumps


3. • Site supervision of all Air conditioning works. • Refrigerant Pipe sizing by using saravel pipe design & BL pipe sizer software. Refrigeration pipe sizing for liquid line, suction line, Discharge line, manually by using Refrigerant chart • Calculation of static pressure of Blowers & Pumps and their selection. • Cooling load calculation by manual method with E-20 Form, CFM calculation & Air Distribution to Various branches of duct.


4. Making Drawing & Floor Drawing for Sample/Ducting parts. • Selection of Chillers, AHU’S, FCU’S, Exhaust Fan, Blower and other Accessories. • Preparation of drawings for A/C equipments and accessories installation. • Preparation of Riser Diagrams showing location of all the equipments with details. • Ensure smooth commissioning of the erected HVACs projects. • Ensure that all HVAC site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, method statements, an

Ensure safe work environments control the use of material and avoid damages and waste, request material, tools and equipment needed for the projects and issue the foreman daily instructions as per the work plan. • Worked on designing and installation package unit, duct able split & split unit. • Coordinating with the officer in-charge of the Electromechanical Duct Workshop to ensure smooth and effective functioning of the same


6. Attend Appraisal Meeting with Sub-Coordinates for classification on drawing & Site Jobs. • Maintaining records and archives to company standards • Preparation of Roof Floor Plans for the location of Chillers, Chiller Pumps, Pumps standard connections, chilled water supply & return header pipes, Dosing Tank, Expansion Tank, Automatic Air Vent, the location of Exhaust fan and Fresh Air Handling Unit etc.


7. Placing Local Purchase Orders. • Passing subcontractors and vendors invoices / bills. • Responsible for Preparation of Bill of Quantity of Materials for Projects. • Sending submittals to consultant/client for approval before placing order for any equipment.


8. Estimating and costing for the project. • Pump Head Calculation for the selection of chiller pumps by considering complete chilled water supply & return pipe length and all the fitting equivalent length (Bend, TEES, Reducer, DRV, NRV, Strainer, F.C.I.V etc.) also selection of stand by pumps.


9. Duct designing by Duct sizing method equal friction method, velocity reduction method, Calculation of No of G.I Sheet & Gauge required Selection of SAD/RAD(2-WAY,4-WAY) SAG/RAG, slot Diffuser etc. • Using duct version software to the size of grill diffuser slot diffuser as per cfm • Using Beta software to select the size for air outlet device. • Equipment selection using zamil software (chiller/AHU,FCU) • Refrigerant pipe sizing for DX system (using Toshiba software) • Winter loss


10. • Direct return system/Reverse return system/District cooling system • Car parking ventilation system/kitchen ventilation system • Filter box calculation/Plenum box calculation/Duct reducer calculation • Fan laws to know the static pressure • Pump selection or Hydraulic calculation. • To calculate the IPLV or NPLV values for units rated with COP & EER • Determination of part load performance & energy efficiency at 100% to 25% for water chilling package. As per AHRI standard
