Summary of Career

1. Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.

2. Install and maintain network interface devices (NID) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT).

3. Install and maintain services on the distribution network from the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) to the demarcation point. Provide technical support for Triple play services (VOIP, High Speed Internet & IPTV) services

4. Perform cable/fiber testing and splicing.

5. Configuration of all types of Routers (Linksys, Aztech, Gigase,Zyxel,D-Link, Net Gear, Segemcom).

6. Perform all setup, testing and maintenance required for CPE installation of POTS, DSL and Networking services.

7. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

8. Perform other duties as assigned

9. Perform advanced outside plant (OSP) testing on trouble tickets.

10. Record and report all record changes immediately to Service Center.
