1. • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
2. • Provide advice in planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of projects, and checking the drawing and quantities to ensure accuracy in calculations.
3. • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
4. • Making request for proposal (RFP), request for quotation (RFQ), Project Quotation, and Technical Proposal.
5. • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from sub-contractors.
6. • Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadline, and maintain documentation for all the site engineering activities.
7. • Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standards along with the architectural aspects of project including interior fit-outs and external finishing.
8. • Creating Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) for the projects and detailed estimate. • Ensuring timely availability of required material by continuous monitoring and assessing the material required for activity.
9. • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork and liaising with procurement department about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
10. • Advising on feasibility of the potential of a site and working out what a client can afford to build.
