  Manage and lead engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, during
  the proposal, design and construction stages of substation projects with strict
  adherence to the project contract; ensuring a common understanding of goals,
  schedule, contract deliverables, etc.
  ? Support proposal efforts by introducing and promoting innovation, cost saving
  ideas, and value-added solutions to the overall system design concept.
  ? Lead the development of single-line diagrams, layout drawings, grounding
  systems, station service and BOMs for substation design packages.
  ? Utilize knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code and ANSI/IEEE
  standards to ensure that designs comply with the appropriate substation
  design requirements.
  ? Provide substation project management support, including managing
  engineering scope according to technical contracts, equipment procurement,
  developing change orders, and maintaining project schedules.
  ? Notify the Engineering Manager and the Project Managers of any difficulties
  encountered in the engineering and design that may adversely impact safety,
  reliability, quality, cost, or schedule of the project deliverables, and provide
  recommendations for solutions.
  ? Create and approve purchase orders for contract materials and services and
  approve quality assurance and control requirements. Develop status reports
  and modify plans or schedules, as necessary, to ensure contract parameters
  are met.
  ? Identify and pursue the resolution of problem areas likely to hinder the
  progress of work or payment of work completed to optimize the successful
  completion of and payment for project work.

  Manage the Electrical work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.?
  ? Ensure that the installation, inspection and testing of all the Electrical System e.g. Low current systems, fire Power cable Installation and Termination & Glanding, DB and SMDB Installation , Transformer, Generator, Fixing all the accessories and work implemented meets the specification and the consultant requirements.?
  ? Verify the accuracy of shop drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design and existing local authority standard?
  ? Review consultant’s design and specification.?
  ? Complete responsibility to decide on day to day work that needs to be carried out by subordinates including: scheduling of activities, assigning task to groups or individuals, accuracy of work conducted, supplying resources and dealing with operational issues and problems?
  ? Coordinate with other project personnel to ensure those deadlines, procedures, and other project requirements are met?
  ? Prepare Complete Proposed Electrical Room installation of MDB,SMDB,MDB,DB , Dressing , Glanding & Termination of all Power Cables.?
  ? Manage The Installation of Electrical Cable Tray, Cable Trunking, Cable Ladder as per approved shop Drawings.?? Liaising with clients, Design Consultants and other professional staff, Senior Electrical Supervisory Engineer and the overall project manager.?
  ? Manage the documentation for electrical commissioning such as taking over certificates, as built drawings, manufacturer manuals and instructions, snagging lists, test procedures, risk assessment and health and safety method statement, end of commissioning reports?
  ? Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
