Accountant Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and maintain daily accounting entries (journal vouchers, receipts, payments, etc.) and ensure all payroll-related transactions are properly allocated to respective projects.
Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accurate posting to relevant projects and cost centers.
Track and post supplier invoices, subcontractor bills, progress payments, and retentions.
Monitor and record project expenses, materials, and subcontractor costs for cost control and reporting.
Record and reconcile Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate document filing for all financial transactions and approvals in accordance with company policy.
Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash, and related treasury tasks.
Support in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely financial reporting.
Assist the Finance Manager in financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring.
Track post-dated cheques (PDCs) and ensure all due dates are updated and managed.
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
Coordinate and prepare supporting documentation for external audits.
Prepare monthly payroll, leave salary, and end-of-service benefit calculations.
Coordinate with HR for payroll-related reconciliations and staff settlements.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all company financial and employee data.

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 3–4 years of UAE experience in a contracting company.
Positive, proactive attitude and strong team spirit
Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and retention handling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho)
Familiarity with UAE VAT laws, corporate tax compliance, and IFRS standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Language English and Tagalog and Arabic (preferred)
