Inspect project site to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety policies and all other regulations and requirements. Assist the
Safety Officers to conduct surveys as needed, and look for ways to support
and improve the quality of EHS by working with Project Manager, EHS Site
Manager / Safety Officers, owners and others as required.
2. Responsible for the development and implementing of environmental
health, and safety system
3. Responsible to educate health, safety and environmental systems to all
GCC staff and subcontractors to the correct way of using these systems.
4. Responsible to monitor the performance of the health, safety and
environmental systems to all GCC, and service providers.
5. Inform QEHS Manager of regulatory changes in safety.
6. Track hazard communication standards to ensure that “GCC” stays in
compliance.
7. Review all incident/injury reports to ensure Project EHS Site Manager /EHS
Officer to keep a separate accumulated record of the history of the
incident/injury reports. Indicate the date of injury, injured person’s name,
job title, part of body injured, and number of days lost.
8. Report safety issues to QEHS Manager.
9. Coordinate with Project site team to conduct EHS committee meeting to
discuss ways that the company can improve its safety program, as well as
how it is working.
10. Furnish each project with current publications of “GCC”’s EHS manual,
hazard communication program, the Related Authority / Standard,
Standards for the Construction Industry, and all local requirements.
