  Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Resume shift duty, take charge from the outgoing Shift Supervisor. Read the log book for last 24 hours operations and go through the daily instructions issued by the Manager. On completion of shift duty, hand over charge to the incoming Shift Supervisor.
  • Adjust feed rate and operating conditions to achieve production target and product specifications.
  • Observe DCS monitor to ensure operating parameters of all assigned units are in the normal range. Ensure that operators of the units are taking robust actions in case of abnormality and perform duty vigilantly.
  • Receive work request from operators, assess necessity, conduct inspection if necessary and prepare work request for job execution. Ensure that the equipment is isolated from the running system and is hydrocarbon and toxic materials free before it is handed over to the maintenance staff. Before closing the work order ensure that the necessary repairs have been carried out to the satisfaction of the unit operators.
  • Take round of process area and check every equipment for its safe and smooth operations. Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping. Check fire fighting equipment to ensure that these are ready for use. Take necessary action in case of deviation or abnormality.
  • Identify operational problems including safety & environment issues and highlight in daily log book. Suggest solution to remove operational problems / bottlenecks, improve personnel safety and forward to his senior.
  • Coordinate with Shift Engineer Refinery (SER) if encounters any operational problem during the shift hours.
  • Continuously improve the performance of the unit; identify, prioritize and execute corrections to address issues which impact manufacturing line performance and implemented lean manufacturing
  • Implementation of online maintenance job procedure according to SOP, PTW and JSA .
  • Supervised twice the steam/air regeneration activity of NHT catalyst
  • Supervised regeneration activity of Platformer semi-regenerative catalyst
  • Co-ordinate with all other departments including Technical Services, Maintenance and EHS regarding robust and safe operations.
