Summary of Career
1. Mechanical Engineer In-charge is responsible for all aspects mechanical works of the project relating to building services. The role includes the management of the Mechanical team to ensure that day to day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project.
2. Ensured compliance with project specifications and standards requirements.
3. Advise the Project Manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snagging.
4. Manage the day to day work of the mechanical team.
5. In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing/logging of the Mechanical documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same.
6. Continually review the construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to Mechanical services and report to the Project Manager.
7. Performed on-site field surveys and wrote technical narratives in an efficient and timely manner.
8. Review the shop drawings against the design (tender) drawings for the compliance with the design intent and submit to the project consultant for appropriate comments/approval within the specified contractual period (normally 14 working days).
9. Witness on-site piped system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing and other testing that may be required during the first fix works and witness mechanical system final testing and commissioning.
10. Coordinates with consultant related to work progress status at site and followed RIW, RFI, MTS & MIR. Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time
