Summary of Career
1. Development and implementation of QHSE Policy & Procedure in line with company strategy to ensure adherence to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the organization
2. Liaise with respective Department head to ensure expectations are understood and delivered as far as is reasonable to maintain satisfactory management of potential risk exposures.
3. Providing professional, technical guidance & advice on all QHSE legislation to ensure compliance & understanding
4. Planning practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health & safety & safe working practices.
5. Responsible for maintaining & updating all QHSE records such as: Safety management plan, Workplace inspections, fire extinguisher checklists, training, inductions, toolbox talks, Management meeting records, Hazard identification & risk assessments, PTW's, HSE statistics, accident reports and investigation and many more, including an up-to-date law reference library.
6. Maintain and regularly review all related documentation in line with legal requirements. Provide updates and ensure documentation is easily available to all personnel, as well as provide training as and when required.
7. Promote the continued development of a strong embedded QHSE culture and high levels of employee awareness within the business. Lead by example and always promote best practice with regards to quality & safety at work in all areas.
8. Management and reporting of Incidents and Accidents; ensuring all events are fully investigated; root causes identified, and corrective / preventative actions identified and implemented, Support the development and maintenance of the account training strategy. Support its delivery to enable appropriate standards of QHSE competence to be achieved and maintained.
9. Compile appropriate performance reports and maintain performance monitoring, analysis and review against established metrics and standards to drive improvements.
10. Support effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.
