NRL have a different units fuel refinery, two lube refineries, Diesel hydro treat, Isomer (NHT & PENEX), SRU,ATU,HPU and BTX (chemicals unit).
I am working at vacuum distillation unit as a field operator.
The feedstock (Reduced Crude/Furnace oil) obtained from Fuel Refinery is then processed under vacuum is the second distillation stage to produce High Speed Diesel Oil, Light Diesel Oil, Lubricating Oil Distillates and Vacuum Residue.
VDU/ Vacuum Distillation unit
It consists of following:
Vacuum Distillation column with sieve trays & packed bed
Flash drum, reflux drum & strippers
Natural draft Cylindrical Furnace (fuel oil & fuel gas firing)
Condenser, re-boiler
Ejector operated by MP Steam
Bubble caps & Valve trays
LP steam generator system & Tempered water system
Heat exchanger & centrifugal Pumps
