As an Auxiliaries Control Room Operator at Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 (325 MW) from 1st August 2010 to Nov 2015.
(A Multi stage Double Flow Tandem Compound Steam Turbine)
Field operation of nuclear power plant (Nuclear Island) main & auxiliary systems and also control of nuclear waste treatment system (Boron recycle system, Liquid waste treatment system (Clean, Process and floor drain), and Gaseous waste system.
Routine brief surveillance of nuclear safety system (Residual heat removal system, safety injection system, containment spray system, Spent fuel storage area, Reactor make up water system.
Read and record data from instrumentation, including sounding alarms.
Operate, control, or monitor equipment, such as Boilers, steam generators, compressor, de-aerators, Condenser, Control oils system, air separation units, Feed water, condensate pumps to generate electricity.
To control and operate 2000 tons/day De-Mineralized water production facility at our Plant and Regeneration of these 2x Trains.
Write reports and documentation about equipment, personnel and activities.
Oversee surveillance, safety and alarm response throughout the facility.
Review and analyze maintenance and equipment logs.
Control generator output to match the phase, frequency, or voltage of electricity supplied to panels.
Control power generating equipment, including boilers(steam Generators), turbines, generators, or reactors, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or from computers.
Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals.
Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary.
Inspect records or log book entries or communicate with plant personnel to assess equipment operating status.
Clean, lubricate, or maintain equipment, such as generators, turbines, pumps, or compressors, to prevent failure or deterioration.
Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms and logs.
Place standby emergency electrical generators on line in emergencies and monitor the temperature, output, and lubrication of the system.
Collect oil, water, or electrolyte samples for laboratory analysis.
Receive outage calls and request necessary personnel during power outages or emergencies.
Make adjustments or minor repairs, such as tightening leaking gland and pipe joints.
Inspect thermal barrier coatings on equipment for sintering, phase destabilization, or temperature variances to ensure compliance with standards and insulation efficiency.
Operate, control, or monitor equipment, such as acid or gas carbon dioxide removal units, air compressors, and pipelines.
Operate, control, or monitor gasifiers or related equipment, such as coolers, water quenches, water gas shifts reactors, or acids/caustics.
