Worked in the Directorate of Planning, Development and Human Resource Development Department (P, D and HRD), in the project entitled “Establishment of COMSATS University Islamabad Permanent Campus at Dhamtore, Abbottabad” funded by Federal Government (Planning Commission) at a cost of $80 Million. As per Project Charter (PC-1), this project consists of three sections i.e. Construction of building (150,000 Sqft), Procurement of Lab Equipment and Procurement of Furniture for the constructed building. Helped the project teams, managed resources, information, assisted with scheduling, planned meetings, and project activities.
• Maintaining, Monitoring Project Plans and Reports: Prepared the Project Management Plan for each knowledge areas after thoroughly discussing with the superiors and stakeholders, and monitoring the project plan through the project for its smooth delivery, and in a cost-effective way. Prepared project monitoring reports, and onward submission to the Planning Commission of Pakistan, and updated project expenses record on Project Management and Evaluation System (PMES).
• Tracking Baseline, Schedule Performance Index, EAC, and ETC: Developed Schedules, work breakdown packages, and baselines. Monitoring, managing, and reporting project activities, risks, issues and deliverables to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement. Used Primavera P6 to track and manage project statuses milestones, baselines, and deliverables. Tracked baseline from the start of the project till the end of the project, and professionally informed all the stakeholders about the real facts and figures of the project i.e. how long will this project will last, what further finance will be required to complete project, and what will be the total cost of the project once it’s complete by earned value management.
• Tracking Project Changes, Project Risk, and Providing Solutions: Providing Change Management, developing and update training guides, job-aids and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to support the system post-delivery and implementation. Did an in-depth analysis of all the project changes with respect to the Change and Configuration Management Plan, and informed all the stakeholders about the approved Changes. Led risk assessment process either they are internal or external to the project in a proactive nature with the help of team members, and implemented risk responses to the risk whenever, and; however, required.
