Main Project: Sirius Capacitor module
The World's first super capacitor-based Energy Storage System. Capable of Super-fast charging,
discharging, access, safety and reliability.
Accomplishments:
Successfully worked on Research and Development of the Microcontroller based prototype
hardware by using simulation software tools (LabVIEW, Proteus, Pspice) and design tools (OrCAD,
Altium, Easy PC). Performed Device programming (Arduino Microcontrollers (Uno, mega, Nano,
shields etc.), C-RIO, My-RIO etc.) for full Monitoring, Alarms logic/Control and remote
interfacing/communication of the Sirius Capacitor module.
• Testing and Development of a LabVIEW interface. It included features as Controls, Alarms, History,
graphs etc. for complete monitoring of the modules.
• Development of automated hardware setup with Chargers, inverters etc. for remote and safe testing
of the Customized Sirius Capacitor modules. Testing provided better understanding, programming
and ensuring the safety and reliability of the product.
• Worked for the customization of modules. Made modifications in the hardware/software for
matching the particular needs of customers like Mechanical dimensions, anti-theft, with / without
alarms, standby feature etc.
• In order to show application of Super Capacitors as Universal acceptable solution, replaced ESDs in
Various appliances (Nissan leaf, power banks, E-Rickshaw’s, E-Bikes etc.) with Super Capacitor
Modules. Provided solution for the BMS compatibility by designing and studying the respectiveelectrical and electronic hardware. These Super Capacitor based appliances were made available for
exhibitions like Solar Middle east, Middle East electricity (MEE) etc.
• Developed a Charging Station for Sirius Capacitor module. Fully automated hardware comprising of
C-RIO controller. Its features included safely charging the Sirius Capacitor reservoir modules with
the Grid with charge controllers and providing a heavy current output to attached Electric vehicles.
The system was similar to the petrol station with the complete monitoring of Volt, Current and
Energy (kWh).
• Lead the teams for the serial production of Super Capacitor Modules. Assigned and monitored the
tasks of individuals in team. Compilation of the stock and performance report. Programmed and
troubleshoot production hardware. Final testing and quality check of the product. Made efficient
planning for production to meet the provided deadlines.
• Installation and testing of Sirius Capacitor modules as ESDs with Energy Servers at various solar
panel sites.
